Worktop Fabrication Nottingham

Behind every worktop we fit is a fabrication process that turns a raw slab into a piece cut precisely to your kitchen. We use digital laser templating and CNC cutting technology in our own workshop, combined with skilled hand-finishing, to produce a worktop that fits first time.

Our Fabrication Process

  • 1. Digital measurement and templating: We use a Flexijet 3D laser to capture precise measurements of your kitchen space, including every angle and contour, creating an accurate digital template and eliminating manual measuring errors
  • 2. Design: Our team works with you using 3D design software to give you a realistic preview of your worktop, incorporating cutouts for sinks, hobs and other fixtures
  • 3. CNC cutting: A CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine cuts your chosen material -- granite, quartz, marble or laminate -- to the exact specifications of the digital template
  • 4. Quality control: Every worktop is inspected at each stage of fabrication; any imperfections are addressed before it moves on to installation
  • 5. Installation and finishing: Our installation team fits the worktop with precision, adding edge profiling, cutouts and a protective sealant as a finishing step

Timescales

Templating typically takes one to three hours on-site. Fabrication itself can range from a few days to a few weeks depending on the material and design complexity, with fitting usually scheduled one to two weeks after templating. Installation of a standard worktop is normally completed within a day; larger or more complex jobs may take up to two days. We recommend waiting 24-48 hours after installation before heavy use, to allow sealants and adhesives to fully set.
