Worktop Spray Painting
If your worktops are stained, outdated, or just don't match your kitchen anymore, spraying is often a faster and cheaper alternative to full replacement. We apply industrial-grade coatings directly to your existing worktop surface, creating a new finish in your chosen colour without removing the worktop or disrupting your plumbing and cabinetry.
Which Worktop Materials Can Be Sprayed
Our system works on laminate, solid wood, natural stone and solid-surface composite worktops. Laminate worktops are typically the most straightforward to spray, solid wood surfaces may need extra preparation, and composite worktops often need specialist primers. It's not suitable for severely damaged worktops with structural issues or extensive water damage -- we'll assess this at your free consultation.
Our Worktop Spraying Process
- Consultation and assessment: We visit, assess your worktops, take measurements, and bring colour and finish samples
- Preparation: Thorough cleaning and degreasing, repairs to any chips or damage, masking of surrounding cabinets and appliances
- Priming: Specialist adhesion primers formulated for your specific worktop material
- Spraying: Multiple thin coats using HVLP spray equipment for an even, durable finish, with careful control of drying time between coats
- Curing: Light use only for the first 24-48 hours, full cure within about a week
What Worktop Spraying Costs
Pricing is based on the length of worktop being sprayed: small kitchens (up to 3 metres) typically range from £700-£900, medium kitchens (4-6 metres) £900-£1,200, and large kitchens (7 metres plus) generally £1,200-£1,800. Island units are priced additionally based on size and complexity. Worktops with damage, deep stains or burns need additional repair work, which is reflected in the quote.
Our 10-Year Guarantee
Our worktop spraying is covered by a 10-year guarantee against paint adhesion failure, fading or discolouration, cracking, and peeling or flaking. Coverage doesn't extend to extensive repairs needed on damaged worktops beyond what was agreed at quotation stage.

Frequently Asked Questions About Worktop Spray Painting
How durable is a sprayed worktop finish?
It's heat resistant to around 100°C (though we still recommend trivets for hot pans), highly resistant to household chemicals, waterproof, and UV stable to prevent yellowing. Typical lifespan is 5-7 years on laminate, 4-6 years on solid wood, and 6-8 years on composite materials.
Can I choose any colour for my worktops?
Yes -- hundreds of standard colours are available, plus colour-matching to any sample and specialist effects like marble, granite or quartz appearances.
Do I need to remove items from my kitchen before spraying?
You'll need to clear worktop surfaces and the contents of base units directly underneath, and provide clear access -- our team will confirm exactly what's needed at your consultation.
How do I maintain my newly sprayed worktops?
Use a soft cloth with mild soap and water, avoid abrasive scourers, use a chopping board and trivets, and clean spills promptly, especially acidic foods.
Is worktop spraying suitable for rental properties?
Yes -- it's a cost-effective, non-structural way to modernise a kitchen between tenancies, with a quick turnaround to minimise vacant periods.
Can worktop spraying be done alongside other kitchen updates?
Yes -- we regularly combine worktop spraying with cabinet spraying, a new splashback, or new handles for a fully coordinated look.
